Cottage cheese bowls became one of the most popular breakfasts of the last couple of years, and for good reason: they take 5 minutes, need no cooking, and keep you full. Creamy cottage cheese is topped with berries, banana, a drizzle of honey and some crunch from walnuts and chia seeds. A cup of cottage cheese has roughly 25 g of protein, depending on the brand, so check your label if you are counting.

Cottage Cheese Breakfast Bowl
A 5-minute, no-cook breakfast bowl of creamy cottage cheese with berries, banana, honey, walnuts and chia seeds.
Ingredients
Equipment
Method
- Spoon the cottage cheese into a bowl.
- Top with the berries and sliced banana.
- Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with the walnuts, chia seeds and cinnamon. Eat straight away.
Notes
Make it smoother: if you do not like the curds, blend the cottage cheese for 20 seconds first. It turns thick and creamy, like Greek yogurt.
Savoury version: top with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, olive oil, salt, pepper and a pinch of chilli flakes.
Meal prep: portion the cottage cheese into jars for up to 3 days and add the fruit and toppings in the morning so they stay fresh.
